How we approach every production?
Each production begins with a conversation with the client and a brief, which is an outline presenting the key content that will be included in the produced film. Right after receiving the brief from the client and discussing it together, we start working on a short screenplay or a list of shots that will be needed to convey the key content.
The shot list and accompanying storyboard, which includes sketches of the necessary shots, are discussed with the client, and we determine the cost of recording. We then decide what equipment to use, what lighting will be needed, when the shots can take place, and how long will they take. We finalize the script and determine whether actors or a narrator are needed. All of this determines the final cost of the video.
Together with the crew, we set the recording date and proceed with the production. However, this is not the end of the work. Further days, and sometimes weeks, after the recordings are spent on post-production. We handle editing, color grading of shots, sound mixing, and music selection.
How to prepare your company for filming?
At Haze Studio, we showcase the strong points of your company. The workplace should be clean and well-kept. There is no time to start cleaning just before filming, so unnecessary items should be removed beforehand. We also focus on the professionalism of your employees, so everyone should adhere to health and safety regulations. Let's not forget about neat clothing (company shirts are most welcome).
If an actor appears in the advertisement, it's a good practice for them to rehearse the lines they will be delivering beforehand. It's possible to use a teleprompter, but we want all actors to behave naturally.
Don't forget to wash all the vehicles that will appear in our film. Even forklifts benefit from a bath from time to time.
How long it takes to create a video?
The entire process depends on the complexity of the script. If we have to visit many locations, it's impossible to shoot all the scenes in one day. The pre-production itself, scheduling and arranging shooting dates, can take over a week. Sometimes both drone shots and outdoor scenes may be canceled due to unfavorable weather.
The longest stage of all advertising productions is always post-production. In addition to the elements mentioned earlier, promotional films may include animated text, tracked captions, and various special effects.
Sometimes, after initial color grading and editing, it turns out that retakes are needed, meaning an additional scene has to be filmed. This is completely normal and usually accounted for in the project timeline.
